Built by karateka, for martial artists.
We are instructors and students who spent years running a club with paper registers, spreadsheets and group chats. Seijitsu is the app we wished we'd had: made on the dojo floor, tested on club nights, and shaped by the people who use it.
It started with a lapsed licence and a soggy register.
Like most clubs, ours ran on goodwill. The register lived in a ring binder, licence dates sat in a spreadsheet only one person understood, and grading lists were scribbled after class. It worked, until it didn't: a licence quietly lapsed, a parent's phone number was out of date, and an important message vanished in a busy chat.
We looked for an app to help. Most were built for gyms, charging per head and counting "memberships". None understood kyu and dan grades, gradings, licences or the rhythm of a club night. So we built our own.
“If it takes longer than a bow to use, it's too slow for the dojo.”
Every screen in Seijitsu has been used in a real club, by instructors with a class waiting and members checking the next grading on the bus home. We're still training, still teaching, and still improving the app every week.
Why we chose the name
誠, makoto, is sincerity: doing what you say you'll do. It's the standard we hold Seijitsu to, for clubs who trust us with their members.
Three principles behind every screen
Respect the art
Grades, belts, gradings and licences are central to martial arts, so they are central to Seijitsu, done the way clubs really do them.
Calm and simple
No clutter, no noise. The right information at the right moment, so instructors can focus on teaching and students on training.
Sincere with your data
Your members' details belong to your club. We look after them carefully and never sell them.
